Help a Researcher Out!
Are you in the UK? Amber Walsh (University of Liverpool) wants to hear your thoughts about the UK’s salt marshes.
My name is Amber Walsh and I am doing a masters in applied ecology and conservation at the University of Liverpool. I designed this survey about salt marsh restoration and salt marsh birds to form part of my research project. The aims of this survey are to:
Collect data on what salt marshes are used for and how important various functions and services are to local people.
Show what people prioritise e.g. a more aesthetic landscape over species conservation
Understand the public's view on salt marsh restoration projects, how much they know about them and whether they agree with them. What might put someone off supporting/agreeing with a project?
Show how much respondents value salt marshes for various bird species and how important they think it is to support them.
This survey is open for anyone over the age of 18 living in the UK. You don't necessarily need to know anything about salt marshes however it would be preferable if you have been to one before. The survey is completely anonymous and there will be no information included that will enable anyone to contact or identify any respondents.
To access the survey just head here.
