Make a Wish on a Fish

About Make a Wish on a Fish

Make a Wish on a Fish is an ongoing short-form video series featuring scientists, innovators, policymakers, creatives, and more sharing one simple thing: their wish for the ocean’s future. Filmed in person, the series captures authentic, unscripted reflections from across the ocean community.

The challenge

The ocean community is full of powerful voices and inspiring perspectives. Created for the Ocean Opportunities Hub, the goal was to create something human, hopeful, and shareable - a series that could travel easily across social channels, spark curiosity, and celebrate diverse voices

Our approach

We designed a simple, consistent, and flexible video format that prioritises authenticity over production polish. Each contributor speaks freely while we handle the filming, framing, prompt delivery, and visual identity.

What we delivered

  • a cohesive visual style and series identity

  • in-person filming of each contributor

  • light editing and format consistency across episodes

  • subtitling and translation where needed

  • on-site capture at events, meetings, and conferences

  • distribution across multiple channels

Outcomes

The series has become an accessible way for people across the ocean community to share their hopes and priorities in their own words. It creates small windows into big ideas and builds a growing archive of voices advocating for a healthier, more sustainable ocean.
