EU4OceanObs

About FloodMind

EU4OceanObs is a Horizon Europe project that leverages and promotes European ocean observing activities through a unique cross-coordination mechanism. The project aligns European efforts and ensures evolving priorities are acknowledged globally — supporting increased ocean observation towards restoring ocean health, conserving biodiversity, combating climate change and marine pollution, and fostering a sustainable blue economy.

The challenge

EU4OceanObs manages multiple international components, each with its own audiences, priorities, and communication needs. To increase the project's visibility and influence, the EU4OceanObs team needed high-quality content across several evolving websites, regular articles for diverse audiences, social media support, and evidence-based KPIs to guide communication and content decisions.

What we delivered

Working as an integrated communication partner within a larger team, we provided ongoing communication support, including:

  • Monthly articles for public and expert audiences

  • Event announcements and project updates

  • Weekly social media packages for LinkedIn and X

  • Improved web copy for activity and thematic pages

  • Bi-annual KPI reporting with actionable recommendations for engagement and reach

  • Strategic advice on content and communication opportunities aligned with EU4OceanObs and EU objectives

  • Meeting notes, request tracking, and coordination support

Outcomes

Our work contributed to:

  • Strengthened visibility for EU4OceanObs across digital channels

  • Consistent editorial content reflecting evolving EU priorities and project developments

  • Reduced communication burden on the internal team

  • Clearer analytics and reporting to guide communication decisions
