SCOR Visiting Scholars Program. SCOR began a program in 2009 to enlist the services of ocean scientists, from both developed countries and developing countries, to teach short courses and to provide more extended on-site education and mentorship at developing country institutions. This program is open to any scientists who have time available to spend teaching and mentoring in a developing country for two weeks or more. The scholarships are not intended to conduct joint research, although such research may develop as an outcome of a visit. Application deadline December 16. 2024
European Ocean Days. We are pleased to invite you to the European Ocean Days 2025! Organised for the first time in 2024, the 2nd edition of the European Ocean Days will take place in Brussels from 3 to 7 March 2025. As the previous edition, it will be a week of events related to European marine and maritime topics. It will cover, on separate days over the week, the EU Mission Ocean and Waters, fisheries science, blue innovation and investment opportunities, ocean literacy activities, and many other topics.
Yachts for Science. The goal of Yachts For Science is to bring together yacht owners and crew with marine scientists, researchers and content creators and provide access to the oceans. This is achieved by utilising the thousands of yachts that are travelling the globe as platforms for research.
Try out a community science project. Just because youâre not a scientist doesnât mean you canât make scientific contributions. Across the world community scientists, also known as citizen scientists, are helping discover new species, monitor changes, and help find solutions for a more sustainable future.
